Hi Jason The AML FAE says that the v15.541.36 version should fail. If a failure does not occur, AML FAE suspect that tvp_enable is not set normally. ( echo 2 > /sys/class/codec_mm/tvp_enable ) Please check again using version v15.541.36. The test method is as follows. Test FW is v15.541.36 (SD , you have to use su, so please update it to SD FW ) 1) After booting up, enter the following command. BFX-AT100:/ # cat /sys/class/codec_mm/codec_mm_dump (check codec_mm size , total codec mem size:564 MB at v15.541.36 ) BFX-AT100:/ # cat /proc/meminfo | grep CmaFree CmaFree: 363844 kB BFX-AT100:/ # echo 2 > /sys/class/codec_mm/tvp_enable ( //Reserved 226MB for secure player. ) BFX-AT100:/ # cat /proc/meminfo | grep CmaFree CmaFree: 118888 kB 2) and please proceed with the Google test for the following two items. run cts -m CtsMediaTestCases -t android.media.cts.DecoderTest#testHEVCDecode30fps3840x2160 run cts -m CtsMediaTestCases -t android.media.cts.DecoderTest#testHEVCDecode60fps3840x2160 These two items should fail. the reason is When codec_mm is 564MB 564MB-226MB = 338MB , it is smaller than 356MB, so it will fail when running CtsMediaTestCases . For the new patch, codec_mm is set to 592MB and becomes pass. please check it again Thank you YK.Jung |

Hi YK, I checked the tvp_enable is set correctly. BFX-AT100:/ # cat sys/class/codec_mm/tvp_enable tvp_flag=18 tvp ref count=1 tvp enable help: echo n > tvp_enable 0: disable tvp(tvp size to 0) 1: enable tvp for 1080p playing(use default size) 2: enable tvp for 4k playing(use default 4k size) I also checked the CmaFree, the CmaFree is larger than SOC expected. I think we test XTS at login page. (Player is not created), so the free memory is larger than Intek. BFX-AT100:/ # cat /proc/meminfo | grep CmaFree CmaFree: 620628 kB After login SKB account, we can get the same result as Intek. Thanks, Jason |
